The Kong Protex 50 steps up to a 50mm hexagonal aluminium frame. It's the choice when a gazebo is working equipment rather than occasional kit: weekly markets, festival seasons, exposed coastal and moorland pitches, and anywhere a lightweight frame has let you down before.

Also the frame to choose for the larger footprints — 4m × 4m, 6m × 4m and 8m × 4m — where a 40mm frame would be working harder than it should.

⚖️ 50 or 40?

Choose the Protex 50 if the gazebo goes up most weekends, lives in a van, sits on exposed ground, or you need a footprint above 3m × 6m. Choose the Protex 40 if it's lighter use and you want something easier for one person to carry and pitch. The 50 is noticeably heavier — that's what makes it more stable, and it's worth knowing before you buy if you're setting up single-handed.

The Protex 50 is available across our printed gazebo packages with a full-colour canopy and your choice of wall configuration. If branding is on the cards at all, start there rather than buying plain and printing later.

⚓ Anchoring

A stronger frame is not a substitute for anchoring. Spike and strap every leg on grass, use foot weights on hard standing, and plan for 15kg per leg minimum. Larger frames carry extra centre legs, so count the legs on your setup rather than assuming four.
